An extruder is a machine that is used in
the extrusion line for manufacturing different types of profiles. Extruders
machines are applied for continuous forming of products. Basically an extruder takes
a mass of material (profile) and then forces it via a die plate. This
creates a proper form in the extruded product. The extruder typically has a
mechanism that uses a single or counter rotating double screws. Another
important component of the extruder is the barrel. It is the section where
the screw generally processes the profile. This unique ability to
consistently shape and form products makes extruders an important piece of
equipment for many critical industries.
